Works as a mechanical engineer for an HVAC consulting firm, with special expertise in building optimization and energy savings. Experience includes design, optimization, maintenance and controllability. Through these efforts, clients have seen between 5-40% energy savings on annual utility bills. Additional experience includes energy savings estimation, basic energy modeling, and project development, and HVAC system design and peer review; has worked with facilities teams locally and internationally to improve day-to-day operations and improve system performance as a mechanical engineering consultant. Has extensive experience with Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) and smart-buildings systems. Works closely with industry leaders in smart-building integration and software development, and has advised major corporations and governments on best practices and FDD deployment strategies.
