At Nor-Mar, I handle outgoing parts requests from customers all over the continent for Brutus Truck Bodies. This includes service cranes (Specializing in Cobra and Maxilift), outriggers (Maxistab), air compressor units (VMAC, Vanair, Miller), and parts on the Brutus Bodies. I work with customers in remote locations over the phone and via email to help them get the right parts they need. I also assist with shipping parts orders as needed.

During my short time at Motion, I learned about the accessibility industry and what it has to offer. My role was to help therapists find the appropriate medical equipment for their clients based on their needs, budget, and funding. I assisted the service department with installations (such as Bruno stairlifts and Q-Ramp wheelchair ramps) and maintenance on clients' equipment such as power chairs, scooters, and lifts. After a short while I learned that it was not the right industry for me and it would not work long-term for me.

As an outside sales rep for NAPA, I handled sales inquiries and conducted sales calls (including cold calling) for both the Penticton and Summerland locations. I worked with manufacturer and corporate representatives in order to find solutions for my customers. I grew great relationships with many of my clients and some of whom I still talk to today. I managed my own schedule for calls and special appointments. Inside of the store, I also acted as a mentor for co-workers who were still learning and tried to involve them in my day-to-day. I attended various online knowledge sessions regarding new products, promotions, or in-depth knowledge on a specific product.

At Penticton Hyundai, I worked in the parts department assisting customers over the phone, via email, and over the counter with parts inquires for Hyundai vehicles. I quoted out parts to the service and sales departments for vehicles in the shop, both customer and trade-in. I had to source parts from Hyundai distribution centres, aftermarket suppliers, other dealerships, and from wrecking yards depending on part availability, customer budget, and timelines. I assisted with annual inventory. I would also organize tire displays in the showroom and I made a tire package "cheat sheet" for the sales department to show clients.

I started delivering parts for NAPA out of high school. I did this for a few months before taking on the shipping and receiving role and becoming secondary driver. I would receive stock orders daily, check the packing list against what was physically received, process new returns to the warehouse, process core part and defective part returns to the warehouse, and put stock away neatly and in order. Right before I moved on, I began to help customers over the counter with basic parts inquiries.
