“I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou.My personal ethos has always been to follow the philosophy above in order to inspire young people to a point where they can aspire to be more than they themselves; or society would have them believe themselves to be.The bulk of my professional experience to date has been within the public, third and charitable sectors. I have had London-wide, national and also international (India & Africa) success in getting educational and creative initiatives (festivals, productions, events, projects and campaigns) off the ground, creating, developing, leading and/or co-managing them alongside community members (young and old) and promoting them in order for them to flourish. Driving social change through education, enterprise and innovation for young people is in my work DNA. My creative international work in India (supporting a Delhi & German based NGO with support from the British Council) has shown me that much like the UK, other countries are currently experiencing unemployment rates at record highs for young people. This one issue alone, where businesses remain reluctant to hire young people amid their country’s recession, is leaving young people with no work ethic and no experience to help them secure employment in their desired field, and will (I believe) create a global lost generation. FREELANCE PRESENTING/PRODUCER/JOURNALIST I have years of relevant and valuable TV & Radio experience. I have been responsible for daily planning, research, copy writing, contributors/talent bookings, feature production, show production or full presentation of music, entertainment and/or current affairs packages and/or shows. I believe, myself to be a strong candidate for any TV or Radio production role.
