Developer for Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) working on the Simplified Arrival project. This project expedites the process of international entry to be able to securely and confidently allow more passengers to be biometrically validated in a shorter amount of time using Facial biometrics. This project utilized REST and SOAP service architectures. An agile development lifecycle was used to develop the code base. The release cycle consisted of multiple sprints with each sprint lasting two weeks. The project utilized maven for the build tool, Git for the code repository and SonarQube for static code analysis.Implemented an Ansible CM application to setup development environments for various projects on a centrally located network.

Dissemination team lead for the Comprehensive Large Array-data Stewardship System (CLASS) project. CLASS is an electronic library of NOAA environmental data that archives and provides access to data from current satellite-based observing systemsThis government project consisted of 1 month release cycles in which there were requirements to analyze, design, and implement. These requirements were stored by using the Remedy action request system to track our development metrics. This project utilized Subversion (SVN) to record the history of our source files.Responsible advising team members on the technical direction for various Dissemination, DDT and Metric system enhancements.Responsible for redesigning and implementing the Dissemination system. This system provided capabilities for data order fulfillment with various user options such as encryption, digital signatures, extraction, and order available email notifications. Responsible for designing and implementing the Dissemination Directory Tree system. This system provided subscription like capabilities for recently ingested data. The DDT system could support many options such extracting the ingested dataset, tarring a group of datasets together and transferring the file(s) to a configurable directory structure.Managed and maintained the CLASS Data Warehouse (DW). The DW is used to track all of the CLASS projects metrics such as Ingest, Archive and Dissemination reports. The Metrics system consisted of an Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) application that extracts statistics from the transactional DB, Transform and Load those stats into a flat DB schema for the reports to run off of.Responsible for writing Analysis and Design documentation that were peer reviewed using the Inspec documentation inspection tool.Responsible for conducting release operator training. Training would be conducted for the operators to learn the new features of the systemProvided operational and IV & V support
