I was a live sound engineer for Brantley Sound Associates. I was responsible for system (PA) set-up. This could pertain anything from patching the amp racks, running the cable for the speakers from the amps, setting up RF, patching the stage, and ensuring the FOH house rack are all patched properly into the system. I would also system tech: equalizing the PA, ensuring any issues are sussed out in a timely fashion, and allowing for the best sounding show out of that specific system. Additionally mixing monitors which means: setting up multiple mixes for the band, 'ringing out' the monitors, and helping the stage patch with any issues that are presented on stage.
