Developed a cloud based application that could assist restaurant owners and managers in various aspects of running and promoting a restaurant all from a tablet or computer.• Developed a REST API in NodeJS using Express - backed by MongoDB, deployed on Heroku.• Built an interactive web application using the Backbone.js framework, Component, and jQuery for DOM and Ajax.• Constructed the application to use the PhoneGap toolset to connect the app to native libraries on mobile devices.• Released a restaurant management tablet application and a customer focused phone application into the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.• Used Behavior Driven Design and utilized Mocha to run and maintain hundreds of unit tests.

Contributed to multiple government-owned software products that are used in a variety of modeling, simulation training and experimentation environments for military personnel. Primarily worked on the Navy’s Common Distributed Mission Training Station which is built with Java, contains C++ libraries and integrates with Joint Semi-Automated Forces.• Fixed bugs by addressing underlying product flaws, avoiding quick fixes, and designing code for sustainability. Issues involved networking, cross-platform support, speed, syncing across multiple systems, maintaining compatibility with government protocols and integration with 3rd party software.• Created a fast terrain inter-visibility tool for establishing line of sight. It utilizes the Java Native Interface to integrate with C++ libraries and was designed to be compatible with multiple government terrain databases.• Developed a route finder that implements an efficient path-finding algorithm and reads in ESRI Shapefiles containing road data sets to find the fastest route between two latitude/longitude points.• Added unit tests to our environment with a focus on long term stability and sustainable maintenance.• Designed and integrated interface concepts with ongoing collaboration and input from Air Force subject matter experts.• Oversaw customer deliveries that required testing in classified labs and fulfilling government checklists pre-delivery.• Developed enhancements and performed on-site integration work on the Air Force’s eXpert Common Immersive Theatre Environment. Demoed the enhancements on a P8 simulator to multiple Air Force officers.• Wrote documentation and test procedures for each enhancement and change.

• Built complex, dynamic web sites using php, MySQL and JavaScript.• Collaborated on the Legato PHP/JavaScript framework which was internally used to assist in developing the websites.

Worked with over 20 developers on PowerBrief NG (JSP, Struts) running integration tests and bug fixing.• Discovered and fixed a notable security hole which required an immediate push and attention from the CTO.• Reconstructed company’s Intranet using the Alfresco CMS and delivered a two hour presentation to developers and management on the restructured system after completion.
