Planning & Scheduling Manager overseeing the Service Development Department at TCAT Inc. Responsibilities include regularly analyzing TCAT's existing transit services to monitor route performance, exploring avenues to address unmet county mobility needs, leading tri-annual scheduling + runcutting processes (Hastus), overseeing the provision of passenger amenities (bus technology/ITS and physical infrastructure), leading and drafting certain state and federal reporting requirements (NTD, TAM, STOA, etc.), advising board of directors on planning policy direction, and regularly interfacing with our bus drivers, passengers, the general public, and funding stakeholders as it relates to scheduling and service utility and reliability, respectively.Technological skills include familiarity and proficiency with some Adobe Creative Cloud products (Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop), ArcGIS Pro and StoryMaps, runcutting software (Hastus), CAD/AVL systems (Availtec), commonly used vehicle destination sign programming tools (IPS, MIE, ELYSE2, HELEN, Mobilite), data management and analysis tools (Stata, Excel), and Google Earth. The aforementioned skills have been applied in map-making, spatial analyses, data analysis, report-writing (both internal to and external of TCAT), and effective, communicative presentation design.Educational background includes a bachelors and masters (in progress) degree in Urban Planning from Cornell University's AAP school. Courses provided background and history of planning theory (transit planning and otherwise), education on responsible, respectful, and effective public outreach practices, opportunities for studio work in a variety of planning sub-fields (transit, climate-mitigation, community-scale, etc.) with governmental entities and community-based organizations, and the development of some of the aforementioned technological skills.
