Analysing Risk/CoSHH Assessments in order to fulfill all duties in accordance with all relevant policies and legislations. Ensuring my team’s adherence to all laid out standards and awareness to Human Factors engineering reporting within a continuous improvement and ISO governed organisation. I impart current engineering and technical knowledge to all junior and in-experienced staff members; acting as coach, mentor and On-the Job Instructor to ensure personal and professional development. Duties & Responsibilities:• Diagnose complex faults from aircrew briefs, reporting as necessary to senior management and raising the necessary limitations paperwork and subsequent maintenance work orders in order to plan and manage daily taskings effectively.• Ensure that all specialist measurement equipment and test gauges are serviceable for use; managing aspects of calibration and replacing items as they expire.• Manage the correct use of tooling and comply with Military Aviation Procedures in regards to tool control measures.• Supervisory leadership on all aspects of fault rectification, scheduled and out of phase maintenance in order to maintain operational effectiveness and airworthiness; forecasting subsequent maintenance activities as required.• Liaise with internal and external agencies and stakeholders in order to achieve KPIs set for the department.• Manage the procurement of all resources required for maintenance. After a rigorous training package lasting 12+ months, where existing skills were built upon and new engineering methodologies were learnt I was able to put into practice basic engineering skills on an operational flying squadron; which allowed me to consolidate all teachings and prepare me for service life within the RAF. Carrying out varying aircraft maintenance activities on electro-mechanical systems and vitally important life saving installed components whilst being supervised for core competency assessments and subsequent promotion to Senior Aircraft Technician. I also removed/fitted and replaced where required, complex system components and ensured all scheduled and corrective maintenance was conducted in accordance with the relevant procedures.In this time I also studied towards my Level 3 NVQ in Aircraft/Component Maintenance and Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Aviation.Duties & Responsibilities:• Carry out removal, fault diagnosis, rectification, fitment and replacement on all mechanical/weapons system components.• Adhere to all current maintenance procedures and engineering orders.• Responsible for flight line servicing and the speedy turnaround of aircraft in preparation for subsequent flying schedules.• Comply with instructions received from engineering authorities, including the embodiment of modifications as required; enhancing efficiency of aircraft systems.• Carry out scheduled maintenance & functional testing of installed and un-installed aircraft components.• Manage the effective compilation of aircraft documentation and associated technical asset tracking systems.• Utilise the correct and specialist tooling required to carry out in-depth investigations and system interrogations. • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely completion and support to operational flying programmes and assurance of strategic business objectives in line with organisational policies.
