I have actively contributed to the success of hundreds of projects, consistently delivering exceptional results in the dynamic realm of high-end landscape design and constructionMain Responsibilities include:-Conducting outreach to new leads, initiating contact, and independently providing on-site or remote initial consultations to assess clients' needs and preferences.-Collaborating with the estimator to ensure accurate quotes for landscaping projects, taking into account design specifications, materials, and labor costs.-Playing a key role in the sales process, successfully selling design contracts, and overseeing a team of designers to develop creative and customized solutions for clients' yards.-Participating in material selection and plant choices, working closely with suppliers to arrange sample drop-offs, and ensuring high-quality standards in project materials.-Reviewing projects with the project manager, providing valuable input, and actively supporting them throughout the construction process to ensure seamless execution.-Occasionally creating detailed CAD drawings or 3D renderings to communicate design concepts effectively to clients and project teams.-Coordinating with permit technicians to secure necessary approvals, ensuring compliance with local regulations and facilitating a smooth permit acquisition process.-Maintaining continuous communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive and transparent experience throughout the entire project.-Managing payment collections, streamlining the financial aspect of projects, and ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

Main responsibilities include:- Participating in one-on-one client meetings, discussing exterior wish lists, budgets and design fees.- Completing site surveys and recording/analyzing existing site conditions. - Creatively drawing concept and detailed master plans.- Creating photo realistic 3D renderings of landscape and architectural features.- Thoughtfully choosing plant and construction material combinations.- Assembling estimates for in-house designs and construction tenders.- Creating construction details and site plans for construction crews and permit applications- Applying for Conservation and city permits. Permits include: building, site alteration and minor variances.- Retrieving quotes from contractors and exchanging information with Engineers/Architects on a weekly basis. - Communicating daily with project foreman and clientele in regards to ongoing projects- Conducting site visits to ensure that projects are being built as per plan and exceeding company standards- Making on-site construction/design decisions in response to unforeseen issues.- Using a variety of computer software including Dynascape Design/Colour, Dynascape Manage 360, Sketchup, Lumion, Shaderlight, Gimp and Microsoft Office programs.- Supervising and training junior designers and seasonal office staff.

The Royal Botanical Gardens is the largest botanical garden in Canada. During this 6 month position, I held a role as a student gardener in the Rock Garden and at the Main Centre. This position allowed me to increase my overall plant knowledge and vocabulary.Main responsibilities include:- Planting of bulbs, annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs- Deadheading and pruning of various plants.- Weekly grass cutting using garden tractors, lawn mowers, weed trimmers and leaf blowers.- Operation of small grounds maintenance equipment such as golf carts and gators.

Worked alone and as a team to perform general landscape construction duties in the Burlington/Oakville area. This position gave me the opportunity to increase my knowledge of landscape construction.Main responsibilities include:- Constructing landscapes as per drawings- Use of hand and powered equipment: stone saws, plate compactors, skid steers etc.- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work in all weather conditions- Installing hardscape elements including: retaining walls, pavestone patios, flagstone and concrete- Planting of perennials, trees and shrubs

During the my short period here, I worked mainly at the retail store in the annual plant section helping customers with plant selections and advice. This position gave me the opportunity to increase my knowledge of plant identification and propagation.Main responsibilities include:- Merchandise and maintain product displays- Restocking plant product- Assisting customers with selecting plant material- Pruning, weeding and watering daily
