The Assistant Director collaborates and works with the Director of Ceremonies to design, execute and evaluate special events (i.e., New Student Convocation, Commencement) for the UW-Seattle campus. An integral part of the Division of Student Life, the Office of Ceremonies celebrates important educational milestones for students, faculty, and staff and honors UW academic traditions.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT, SUPPORT, & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT• Adviser to Associated Students of the University Of Washington (ASUW) Arts and Entertainment, Office of Communications and Rainy Dawg Radio student government entities.• Develop and manage budgets in excess of $300,000• Advise Performing Arts, Special Interest and Esports / Gaming Registered Student Organizations (RSO)• Provide administrative support, guidance, mentorship, risk management, funding, logistical and operational oversight to assigned ASUW entity and RSO events, operations, and campus engagements • Plan and manage annual Dawg Daze new student orientation entertainment events• Select and supervise graduate intern• Develop and manage major event grant and campus entertainment series• Create and facilitate training programs for ASUWESPORTS• Key staff member in researching, developing and implementing the official UW Esports Program which includes a 1000 square foot arena, broadcast studio, 3 official teams, and 24 esports / gaming RSO’s• Secured campus funding for hardware in the HUB Esports Arena & Gaming Lounge and student Resource Center Broadcast Studio • Profession staff lead for official UW Esports competitive teams and competitive esports RSO’s• Hire, train and supervise core student esports staff positions in broadcast, social media, and team management roles• Manage and support Husky X campus RSO gaming community expo and other RSO gaming events and tournaments• Chair of the Campus Esports Advisory Committee• Member of the Husky Gaming Coalition committee• Adviser to UW students for the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Esports Fellowship• Founding member of PAC-U Esports executive board
