I calculated commissions. To accomplish this properly, I gathered and validated sales information for the periods and regions involved, applied the individual quotes, rates, and conditions involved, then communicated the results to each individual in the sales team.

•Producing Financial Statements for monthly and quarterly reporting.•Ad Hoc research and analysis for company executives. This includes project budgeting, cash-flow analysis, capital expenditure cost-benefit and information request from investors.

Group Finance and Corporate Reporting: 1. Corporate Reporting: I produced a variety of reports for Corporate and Executive Management audiences. These include reports related to cash-flow forecasting and balance sheet performance versus forecast. I determined the appropriate contacts and/or systems needed to acquire the necessary information and set deadlines for receiving data that allowed me to meet deadlines placed upon me.2. Month-End Close Cycle: I am responsible for monitoring actual financial performance in my areas (30 Sales and Sales Support Cost Centers; 85 Headcount). This includes any adjusting or accrual entries, monthly reconciliations and filing of any necessary support documentation. Submitted benchmark variance to VP of Finance adjusted Forecast and Budget. 3. (2008-2013) Supervised 2 Sr. Finance Analysts, ensuring that all necessary entries and commentaries were made correctly and in a timely manner for the Sales and Sales Support Cost Centers. My responsibilities in this effort included responding to any inside/outside audit questions to the extent authorized by management.4. (2012-2013) Managed Actuals Allocations in SAP. Trained and Supervised 1 Jr. Analyst on the actuals allocation process. Involved in this task, we updated process documentation and researching and correcting any allocations algorithm issues identified by the accounting community.Ad Hoc:5. Led FY14 Overhead Cost savings analysis. Assessed the process needed to achieve success, then delegated tasks to 3 Sr. Financial Analysts, reassembling the many pieces into a complete report. I was point of contact for VP of Finance while this effort was under way.

Compensation Accounting: Subject Matter Expert1. I consolidated and analyzed revenue and contract value data for each division from various applications (Hyperion, SAP), then verify and adjust valuations based on accounting principles (GAAP), corporate guidelines, and standing incentive compensation agreements. This effort involved communication with project accountants, TCV review, NPV calculations and decisions about pre-paid expense capitalization.2. Once compensation calculations were complete, I authorized payouts, coordinated the executive management review process, and answered questions from both the sales force and the management structure up to and including the VP of Human Resources and the Controller of the division. I created and published reports which supported my conclusions and updated forecasts to reflect the impact of commission expense.3. I was in charge of valuing and booking amortization of pre-paid commission expense. This involved determining the current portion of long-term balances and making adjusting entries based on expense recoverability or changes in corporate standards. 4. During the budget planning stages, I coordinated the compensation plans with divisional revenue targets and provide justification for proposed commission rates or plan changes. From that, I derived commission expense expectations for budgets and forecasts and led plan roll-out meetings to create buy-in from the sales force.Ad Hoc: 5. Developed training classes for Sales Force to understanding Commissions Calculation and GAAP reporting impact.6. Documented commission process, providing guidance for staff and for external users.7. Worked with Human Resources and Executive Management on What-if analysis during corporate changes in compensation agreements and published impact studies on any changes for individual sales executives.

1. Central accountant in Month-End procedures, producing and journalizing closing entries, account reconciliations, and creation of company financial statements. This process requires extensive GAAP accounting knowledge and a high level of self-pacing and motivation. Great Plains and FRX system knowledge are a focus and requirement for this position. 2. Involved in reporting required for department performance evaluation. This requires strong written and verbal communication skill in addition to in-depth knowledge of company performance. This activity required the assembly and manipulation of large fields of data under urgent deadlines while continuing the daily activities of the senior accountant position.
