Director, Division Credit Executive
The Division Credit Executive is responsible for managing the delivery of sophisticated credit products designed for High Net Worth families and individuals. The team of bankers consists of analysts, originators, and inside-sales professionals that served as a "combat" team in support of Private Wealth Advisors operating within the Merrill Lynch Private Banking Group (ML PBIG) franchise. The combination with Bank of America gave Merrill Lynch Advisors access to structured lending products not available in the legacy organization. The team of bankers was responsible for marketing, identifying prospects, designing pitches & proposals, interfacing with credit, and closing credit business. They also played a role in client loan maintenance responsibilities. This newly formed division stretched from Chicago to Texas and covered a third of the US.
Regional Director, Wealth Management Banking
In May, 2009, Bank of America developed a "private-banking light" group, called Wealth Management Banking, that handled banking and credit products for mass affluent clients being served in the Merrill Lynch Private Client franchise. The first task of the Regional Director was to manage a substantial number of bankers, many of whom had never worked in a brokerage channel such as that of Merrill Lynch. The team was then responsible for bringing forth newly-formed depository and loan products that were created by Bank of America, but branded for Merrill Lynch. The group performed a critical role during the initial stages of the combination of the two firms. Many ML Financial Advisors went exclusively to their banker for advice on how to access the resources of Bank of America.
