Managerial and administrative work associated with overseeing operations of the 16th Judicial District Recovery Courts, Adult Misdemeanor Probation Services, and coordinating activities between the courts and participants in the court ordered programs and probationary services. Duties and responsibilities include supervising employees, directing departmental work activities, developing policies and procedures, training employees, attending conferences, writing grants, preparing recommendations and referrals, serving on various boards, preparing departmental budget and monitoring expenditures, preparing reports and maintaining records, providing information and assistance, and performing other tasks as assigned by the courts or the County Mayor.

Criminal/Civil Investigative work involving allegations of securities fraud, insurance fraud, contract fraud, court appointed receivership matters, environmental crimes, public corruption, embezzlement, theft, synthetic drug investigations, and various other white collar crimes regarding state funds, property, or employeesUndercover work in the area of consumer protection, securities fraud, synthetic drugs, and antitrust lawsConduct surveillance of the alleged violators/violations being committedInterview/Interrogate pertinent individuals, including subjects of the investigationObtain affidavits and written statementsReview relevant documentation and other evidentiary matter and prepare necessary exhibitsWork with other law enforcement agencies, both federal and state, district attorneys general, and the US Attorney’s OfficeProvide grand jury and criminal testimony as required
