OIL & GAS SECTOR RESIDENT FOR ERNST & YOUNG’S AMERICAS ENERGY CENTER: Provide technical accounting guidance to oil and gas clients and EY personnel across the Americas; Develop, organize, lead and teach all EY’s oil and gas technical accounting and auditing training in the United States (including Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing trainings); Present quarterly accounting and auditing update webcasts to the entire EY Americas Oil & Gas Network; Monitor SEC comment letters and assist with responses; Develop technical accounting thought leadership; Perform accounting and financial reporting update presentations to clients, CPA organizations and industry groups; Present standard setter updates to EY’s Oil & Gas Working Group, which is comprised of Chief Accounting Officers and other key personnel from some of the largest companies in the world; OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform financial statement audits (including integrated audits) and quarterly financial statement reviews; capital and debt offerings; management advisement on improvements to processes and controls; Serve as counselor for multiple personnel; Served a rotation with our Americas Professional Practice group; Taught lessons on oil and gas accounting at the University of Oklahoma’s Masters of Accounting program; Maintain expertise in Derivatives, Hedging and Fair Value Measurements; IFRS accreditedCLIENTS: Apache Corporation, El Paso Pipeline Partners, Koch Industries, Koch Supply & Trading, Flint Hills Resources, Excel Paralubes, Panhandle Oil & Gas, OGE Energy Corp., Enogex, ConocoPhillips and Love’s Travel Stops and Country StoresHONORS: OSCPA Trailblazer – The Trailblazer program recognizes the innovation, professional dedication and community commitment of Oklahoma CPAs (one of only 20 CPAs in the state of Oklahoma selected to the inaugural class of Trailblazers)
