As a Rhetoric 101 Tutor for the First Plus Scholars Program, I mentor first-generation college students as they transition to college life, supporting them in developing essential public speaking skills. I work directly with students in Rhetoric 101 to help them craft, practice, and deliver speeches confidently. My role involves attending one section of the course each week providing in-class assistance, offering feedback, and holding weekly office hours, along with an additional consultation hour in the evening to ensure students feel supported both in and out of the classroom.
