I am first and foremost a sociologist with a flair for understanding the human condition and meeting people where they are to motivate and encourage in a way that helps them realize their full potential. As a consultant, I have tackled everything from helping organizations with marketing strategies; organize and design grant proposals that get funded; and I have conducted workshops on group interaction and methods for achieving success through collaboration and effective communication. I have been a featured presenter with well-established and noted trainers across the country on diversity, inclusion and women's issues. I take pride in my ability to tailor a presentation to the needs of an organization. When I am not consulting I enjoy teaching Sociology, and advancing the ideas and goals of Toastmasters International. My charity of choice is Gaston Memorial Scholarship, Inc. (www.gastonmemorialscholarship.org), which provides continued educational scholarships to deserving young men and women who exemplify family, leadership and community service.
