As a lifeguard I was tasked to work with 100% focus on areas of water for 10 hours a day. During this time I would have a designated body of water to watch at each position where there was up to potentially 200 or more people that I need to scan to every 10 seconds. When I would see signs of someone struggling or someone is not responding to my signals I would jump in to execute a rescue and get them out of the water safely. Other duties consisted of being a service to guests by answering their questions about the park or where things were, acting as a retail associate by directing them and assisting them in their needs. At the end of the day we had to clean the park and organize chairs, tubes and other items acting like a retail associate who is putting out products or reorganizing a store.
