I am a sophomore at Iowa State University pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. As a student at Iowa State, I maintain a 4.0 GPA and am involved in many extracurricular activities and personal projects. On campus, I am a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Engineering Ambassador and Mentor Program. I was recently selected to the Tau Beta Pi Iowa Alpha Scholars Program and am also a member of the Upper-Division Honors Program. Through these societies and clubs, I have enhanced my experience at Iowa State by not just participating in the classroom but also gaining invaluable leadership and mentorship experience. Aside from these activities, I am also a part of the Iowa State Symphony Orchestra on French horn and the Swim Club at Iowa State. These organizations have allowed me to work with peers from across the colleges of Iowa State, growing my communication and team skills to be applicable in diverse groups.I have also embarked on a few personal projects, the most significant being a modified echo socket client and server network protocol. This project, consisting of clients representing different flight programs with the server displaying the data on a web page, highlights my skills in Python and socket programming. Projects like this have sparked an ambition to use my future degree to design and construct flight systems, including controls, in aviation.
