Across my 30-year career, I have provided innovative, forward-looking solutions to technical, strategic and commercial challenges for a variety of enterprises, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-up energy businesses. In July 2021, I formed Monteverde Energy, a new company involved in the energy transition and sustainability, with the goal of establishing commercially viable, net-zero energy solutions for businesses and communities, in collaboration with top-tier technology companies and financial providers.Throughout my career, I have leveraged my creative problem-solving skills to make key decisions in an industry synonymous with uncertainty and risk. This has led me to become a trusted advisor to senior executives and board members. Recently, I provided a geothermal resource assessment for Strike Energy's acreage in Western Australia. Currently, I am working with Cradle Resources on one of the largest geothermal portfolios in Australia (with leases in South Australia and Queensland) and with Good Shepherd Ranch on a geothermal project in SW Colorado, USA. Matrix Capacity Petroleum is a small, start-up E&P company, of which I was a co-founder and managing partner. Our strategy was to acquire under-valued opportunities that have a combination of existing or near-term production potential and material exploration upside. We sought to deploy ~USD $100-400 MM in our initial acquisition, with the goal of building a larger diversified E&P portfolio on the back of an established revenue base. To that end, our team successfully identified a number of acquisition targets that offered attractive investment metrics, with full life cycle ROIs of 2-4x and equity share volumes of 10s to 100s of millions of barrels of oil equivalent. I was responsible for identifying, recommending, and delivering new business opportunities; technical evaluation of high-graded development and exploration opportunities; corporate governance & management; and making presentations to the investment community. Together with my partners, I also defined and executed the strategic direction of the company.
