Across my 30-year career, I have provided innovative, forward-looking solutions to technical, strategic and commercial challenges for a variety of enterprises, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-up energy businesses. Matrix Capacity Petroleum is a small, start-up E&P company, of which I was a co-founder and managing partner. Our strategy was to acquire under-valued opportunities that have a combination of existing or near-term production potential and material exploration upside. We sought to deploy ~USD $100-400 MM in our initial acquisition, with the goal of building a larger diversified E&P portfolio on the back of an established revenue base. To that end, our team successfully identified a number of acquisition targets that offered attractive investment metrics, with full life cycle ROIs of 2-4x and equity share volumes of 10s to 100s of millions of barrels of oil equivalent.
