I love to learn and have more than a decade of experience in digital advertising, marketing as well as brand and content management. I am currently the digital sales manager of a team of 12 account executives that provide digital advertising products and services to local clients in Amarillo, TX. Previously, I was the manager of a large organization's web content and brand management, overseeing the day to day marketing real estate that is a University website as well as provided administrative support, technical support and training to a community of 180+ content editors. I managed the content on the first two/three layers of the West Texas A&M University's website (wtamu.edu), as well as admin the University’s content management system. I personally train users in compelling content creation including best practices in federal/state accessibility laws, style and brand rationale, and identifying their audience. I am directly responsible for the University’s social media initiatives, new media strategies, including mobile, video, traffic analysis, web design, site mapping and architecture, online directories and contact information.Apart from the day-to-day web management, I have written articles, created numerous video spots for broadcast and web, designed graphics and publications for online and print, engaged in social media campaigns for potential students and alumni, served on committees for budgets, tuition changes, and homecoming, as well as a member of the University's staff council.Additionally, I am the immediate Past President for the American Advertising Federation - Amarillo. AAF is the largest and oldest trade organization of its kind and promotes advertising education and relationship building among peers. AAF-Amarillo is also responsible for the local student and professional annual American Advertising Awards event.
