Action without vision is a nightmare.” - James Kerr (Author of Legacy)As the Assistant Director of Baseball Operations for the Pittsburgh Pirates, my goals are to help individuals realize their dreams, create a vision, plan their actions, and achieve their full potential. Recognizing and achieving our personal and team dreams is essential to helping our organization win a World Series Championship.𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:Our baseball operations department’s vision is to drive efficiencies through elite execution, improve employee engagement through cultural initiatives, and make bold and accurate player/strategy recommendation. It is our job to blend all forms of information, both subjective and objective, to make informed and effective player recommendations. The game of baseball changes daily, so our department continues to integrate and improve processes through automation and technology, engage in a daily growth mindset, focus on team-building and collaboration, and ultimately put a team on the field that can win a World Series Championship for years to come.Roles include working with executive front office members on:-Cultural initiatives (feedback practices, employee engagement, hiring strategy, etc.)-Contract negotiation-Player acquisition and evaluation-Daily roster moves and execution-Arbitration-CBA and ML Rule compliance-Personnel decision making-Coding (advanced with SQL and Microsoft Excel)-Website design𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗥:MBA graduate from the University of Florida in 2020. I graduated from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 2016 with a degree in Business and Economics. My educational background is focused around subjects such as business, economics, and leadership. During my time at VMI, I served as the regimental S-6 Captain, which was 1 of 9 cadet captains out of a 1600 Cadet Corps.
