Hired as a Project Manager Consultant for 6 months to manage a 50% production increase project for the Aerospace Sensor Department, my contract has been extended for an additional year to finish this production increase project and manage different production equipment’s purchasing projects.

This activity described in the function below has been repeated two times in Switzerland.I also had the chance to design the new production line of our sister facility in Phoenix Arizona. I’ve been assigned there for 6 weeks with two of my technicians to manage the installation.

Due to a significant production increase need a complete redesign of the first portion of our production line have been initiated after 2 years. I was in charge of the design, acquisition and installation of the conveying system linking all our equipment’s. Most of the production equipment’s have been replaced with new automated one; therefore I’ve been involved in every new equipment project to make sure they will interact correctly with the conveying system. My challenge was to design a solution flexible enough to allow future growth. This project was a success since we have been able to move out the old production line, install and validate the new production line in only 2 weeks during our summer shut down.

I started with Medtronic the first month of production. Production was about 50 pace-makers/day and we were less than 70 employees.My focus was on process validation per FDA requirements for equipment’s such as laser engraver, laser welder, wire-bonder and epoxy dispenser.Since we were just a few of us, I was also in charge of training and production support to operators, quality issue solving and equipment’s fine-tuning and debugging.
