Dr. Le has expertise in nutrient removal and recovery and currently specializes in wastewater process engineering at Jacobs Engineering Group. He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering research collaboration program between the Catholic University of America and DC Water. His doctoral research focused on developing a process control system for mainstream short-cut nitrogen removal using anammox.He is a recipient of several awards with the most notable being the Grand Prize 2019 Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science™ Awards Competition for “When the detour turns out to be a short-cut: Partial denitrification (PdN)-Anammox as alternative strategy for mainstream deammonification”. He has also published in his doctoral research in several peer-reviewed journals and made numerous presentations at highly regarded technical conferences such as IWA NRR and WEFTEC,
