I obtained the STSA Operator’s Certificate and managed to join Alboran Brokers SA in December 2018. I was responsible for the daily communication with the clients, the monitoring of the freight value changes and the timely updating of the fleet monitoring systems.I was also actively involved in negotiations with brokers and ship owners for freight values and fixtures of Vessels and was directly involved with fixtures and negotiations for the recap terms.My formal qualification as an Engineer was earned in London, I have offered my services as an Assistant Project Manager in Lagos, Africa for more than 3 years at a Food Supply Chain Group of Companies. Working as an Assistant Project Manager in Nigeria, gave me the opportunity to gain experience in all facets of the construction of two factories. I was working closely with the Project Manager assisting in tasks such as the preparation of reports, the review of designs and the planning of the daily tasks and work allocation. I was also responsible for forecasting needs of materials for the day-to-day operations and directed the in-house team of approximately 60-70 workers. Other than my strong technical background, significant skills include excellent communication in English, Greek and basic French (as I am currently taking intensive courses) thus I am in a position to communicate effectively with colleagues with various cultural backgrounds facilitating company needs. I also have strong computer skills which will assist in efficiently completing daily tasks as required within the office.As a highly motivated professional, I enjoy the challenge of complex, demanding assignments. My day-to-day output reflects a high level of diligence, efficiency, and ability to meet any objective. I have a proven ability to troubleshoot, perform under a minimum amount of supervision, and demonstrate a degree of initiative and good judgment.
