* Contact, interview and obtains statements (recorded or in person) from insured's, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, police officers, etc. to secure necessary claim information. * Evaluate facts supplied by investigation to determine extent of liability of the insured, if any, and extend of the company's obligation to the insured under the policy contract. * Prepare reports on investigation, settlements, denials of claims, individual evaluation of involved parties * Set reserves within authority limits and recommend reserve changes to Team Leader. * Review progress and status of claims with Team Leader and discusses problems and suggested remedial actions. * Assist Team Leader in developing methods and improvements for handling claims. *Participate in claim file reviews and audits with customer/insured and brokers. * Administer benefits timely and appropriately. Maintain control of claim's resolution process to minimize current exposure and future risks

Perform assessments, Plans of care, and coordinate service delivery for at risk children and families throughout Erie County and surrounding areas. Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings with representatives from varied systems. Assist in the development of crisis/safety plans for the home, community and school settings. Maintain a collaborative working relationship with contracted vendors and individual service providers. Monitor and make use of outcome measures to ensure quality service delivery and divert placement or hospitalization of youth. Participate in Erie County Family Voices Network committees and New Directions committees, as well as development endeavors.
