In my career I've done some cool stuff. I co-founded and sold a tech company. I was a data visualization research fellow who helped journalists tell stories with data. I produced a 300-page open source book in multiple languages by recruiting more than 100 volunteers in 14 countries. I spoke to thousands of people about data and tech at places like SXSW, Strata, Startupfest, and Stanford. I wrote a juggling pattern notation app and used circus arts to teach physics to low-income students. I rode my bicycle more than 4,000 miles on a self-supported adventure from Maine to Oregon to raise money for a nonprofit.Right now I’m on a mission to automate and scale insect agriculture. Why? Because our planet and our supply chains need alternative proteins. Bugs are nifty little bioconversion machines. And it’s really fun.
