As COO and Head of Operations and Business Improvement, I transformed operations across a dynamic team environment of 115 professionals to support our aggressive growth targets. I designed and executed a comprehensive 12-month business transformation and improvement program, optimising onboarding processes, enhancing digital engagements, and streamlining transactions. This improved process efficiency by around 10%. Additionally, I directed the development of a digital training solution for new starters that reduced onboarding time from 50 weeks to just 12 weeks, boosting productivity and profitability while minimising operational risks. I also led our Line 1 Risk Team to achieve the highest audit ratings in risk control assurance and management awareness across the Westpac Group. I initiated a 3-year BT Wellbeing Strategy to enhance the mental, physical, and financial health of nearly 4,500 employees.

This strengthened our compliance framework, bolstering responsible lending practices and reinforcing the 'Three Lines of Defence' model. Additionally, I managed a comprehensive program that enhanced the data quality of all credit risk models, established a governance framework, and reinforced data policies, including access and security measures. These were successfully reviewed by APRA in 2017.
