🖍 “Art After School” Instructor: After-school program combining art history with creative exploration for K-2 ◾Each lesson included a story about an artist, a discussion, and creation of artwork inspired by the artist. ◾Semester culminated with the organization’s first youth art show and included a space where students could lead their families in creating artwork based on what they had learned in the course.🪲“Art Lab” Instructor: Art/Science hybrid course for K-3 students that explores the interaction between art and the natural environment ◾Students explored natural objects, went for nature walks, learned about the concept of biomimicry, brainstormed issues of concern, then took inspiration from animals to design solutions for their chosen issues. ◾Facilitated discussion and creation of tree costumes to be worn by the class as they marched in the Oberlin Big Parade.🎪Summer Art Camp instructor: K-6 day camp with projects around a theme, ending with an art show.
