In particular I have worked very closely with WCO and their IPM team in order to further develop on their IPM database that HP is a member and contributor of, and I participated in the CAP-meetings held by WCO as the HP representative. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:• Successfully established the Danish National Task Force Counterfeiting.• Preparation of an EU Action Plan on IPR.• National evaluation report to the Minister of Economic and Business Affairs.• Establishing of a national ministerial network on counterfeiting and piracy.DENMARK AND NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE:• The Customs Code Committee on Counterfeited and Pirated goods section in the European Commission.• WCO, where I participated in the meeting forums regarding IPR, and EUROPOL where I participated in the AWF COPY meetings – both the strategic group and the working group meetings.As responsible for IPR within customs, in 2007-2008, I participated in a working group established by the government, where the task was to evaluate the legislation in Denmark on IPR involving all ministries having interest in this area. In March 2008, our recommendations were published by the Minister of Economic and Business Affairs and the government changed the legislation e.g. the criminal act and established a permanent ministerial network. I acted as the contact between our organisation and Copenhagen Airport and the port of Copenhagen in negotiations if they wanted any changes done that affected the customs work in either the airport or the port. My job also included writing memos and papers to our management on different legal issues.I have been teaching on internal courses regarding basic law for our customs control officers. I also taught on external courses for the Danish Shipping Association (Danske Speditører) on their diploma education on shipping. - Part of the Danish negotiation and writing team in the making of an agreement / law on customs control in the Copenhagen and Malmo area when the bridge between Denmark and Sweden was build.- Advisor and negotiator on customs control facilities at new terminal in Copenhagen Port.Advisor and negotiator on customs control facilities in Copenhagen Airport in relation to changes in the airport. In the ministry one of my most important tasks were dealing with customs policy and strategy.
