-Conducted HIV Tests using the OraQuick ADVANCE® Rapid HIV-1/2 Antibody Test-Interviewed and conversed with clients to gather information about their backgrounds, interests, or progress in order to properly assess their needs or plan treatments.-Taught life skills and strategies to clients, advising them on health issues including Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, and job readiness, in one-on-one and group settings.-Implemented individual-level, group-level, and community-level events reaching up to 50-100 participants per event on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly occurrence.-Conducted program eligibility assessments by developing client-centered risk reduction/prevention plans; providing risk reduction counseling; and making referrals for HIV, STI, and Hepatitis C testing, other prevention programs, social services, and support programs as needed.-Represented the organization at community-level outreach events as a means of client recruitment and retention efforts.-Provided information on HIV/AIDS, STIs, Hepatitis C, and other public health concerns as it relates to the people of color LGBTQ community through presentations, forums, and club outreach.-Helped clients access needed services and resources by providing referrals and transportation to appointments.
