I had the opportunity to be a sales intern for Gallagher for the summer. It allowed me to learn and develop in the workforce by shadowing coworkers in diverse positions to learn about their careers. I sat in on client facing meetings to help Gallagher drive business with employers. My fellow interns and I also designed a $10,000 marketing project for a marketing conference where we created a booth for Gallagher to promote business. I also had the opportunity of traveling to headquarters in Chicago, where among 500 other interns for a week improving presentation and public speaking skills, hearing from the CEO, and participating in a rigorous sales challenge with one hour to prepare with a randomly selected group of people, presenting in front of 5 leaders in the company. I also traveled to Atlanta and participated in a two-day final sales challenge with a prepared presentation with a group among leaders selling Gallagher in a creative way, competing against other interns of the southeast region.
