Responsible for the operations, management, and administration of the organization. Calls and oversees all meetings, implements new policies and procedures. Ensures the organization’s activities are compliant and in furtherance of its mission. Leads, manage, and develop the organization’s employees, volunteers, and organizational culture. Developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing the organization’s programs (including their impact), financial management practices (including budgeting), sound and compliant fundraising practices. Supporting the board and the board committees to carry out their governance functions.Working with the Board in applying for major foundation grants and individual gifts. Developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with donors, funders, supporters, and other participants. Communicate effectively with volunteers, board members, staff and outside entities. Keep the organization’s leadership informed of significant developments and changes in the internal and external environment. Leading the organization’s planning processes. Ensuring legal compliance (including all required filings) and sound risk management practices.

The department coordinator of the Counseling Center, a mental health service provider for CSU Bakersfield, including the Antelope Valley location. Provide support to the Center's coordinator and seven counseling faculty and a psychiatrist. Supervises the graduate intern and two part-time ASA I. Initial point of contact for all who walk into the Counseling Center. Screens walk-ins, tracks budget expenditures for the department, provides budget/expense projections quarterly and annually. Responsible for any technology needs of the department, including being the administrator for our medical records system Titanium Schedule. Conduct presentations, interviews, work directly with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Plan and facilitate meetings and events, maintain files and records, manage crises, special projectsand grant work. Maintain timesheets. Make all travel arrangements and processes necessary paperwork. Liaison for on campus departments and outside entities. Plans and assists with outreach programs and activities, and various other duties as assigned. Assessing patients’ needs and support systems, planning for crises and helping clients develop coping mechanisms, explaining these scenarios and their attendant concerns with compassion, and coordinating and monitoring of the patient’s use of these services Train new hires, review licenses of new hires and comply with all federal and state policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of private and sensitive information.
