I am a first-generation college graduate with a bachelor's degree in biology at Georgia State University and am interested in the medical pathway. I have worked in grocery and fast-food customer service during my college career. I worked as a medical scribe and gained skills and knowledge I never imagined. Although it was a brief time, working in the emergency department of a hospital made me realize the authetic environment of the medical field. It was a great experience that made me think about my passions in life and that I should explore other paths before committing to something so quickly and blindly. Although all my job experiences differ, they have taught me how to interact, multi-task, communicate, and treat people. Even when the job was hard at times, I enjoyed the service I was able to provide people and saw how happy I made them. Making someone's day better for them is an indescribable feeling. Whatever path I choose, I want to continue to assist people and make a difference in their life, whether big or small.
