Current• Oversee the quarterly and annual financial reporting for 501(c) (3) organization with annual revenues of $310+ million that receives more than 80% of federal funding and has foreign subsidiaries. Functions include managing fiscal year end and finalizing various annual overhead rates in the system. • Supervise the regulatory reporting process for the entity, inclusive of state and federal tax returns, benefit plan filings, Secretary of State and Attorney General Registrations, various Census and mandatory government reporting such as disclosure updates and the annual submission of the incurred cost claim.• Coordinate with actuaries, various external, government and agency auditors and tax return preparers on behalf of the institution and the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Interact with Administrative Contracting Officer on provisional and final billing rates and CAS settlements.• Aid in collapsing the plan documents of eight non-audited benefit plans with multiple plan year ends to one wrap plan with a single plan year end. Implement the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act with 60+ years of endowment history. Research and aid in coordinating the exemption from annual property taxes in excess of $1.3 million. • Recipient of two RAND’s Silver Medal Awards during tenure. A medal award, an annual distinction reserved to approximately 34 of 2,000+ employees, recognizes important contributions to RAND. • Company representative of the Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Audit group. • Recipient of one of five scholarship awards to participate in the Premiere Partnership MBA program with Brandman University, a member of the Chapman University System. • Knowledgeable of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards, Uniform Guidance/Single Audit Act, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
