In this position I create park art displays, help design attractions, illustrate and animate, update park signage, make sure the park visuals are consistent, install/design decorations, and assist the Creative Director with other tasks. I wear many hats, but my main focus is making sure SkyPark is beautiful and welcoming at all times.

In this role I help manage the Outdoor Adventure Crew of Skypark, which is a large department with around 45 staff members. My main role has been scheduling, helping the staff with using Paycom, training staff, ensuring everyone gets breaks on time, and handling any issues that come up throughout the day. This can range widely from helping with guest issues to fixing problems with the attractions themselves. In this role I also have to be very familiar with a large variety of activities including ziplining, rock climbing, archery, ax throwing, roller/ice skating, etc. Each of our attractions comes with a lot of information, rules, troubleshooting, and maintenance that I help keep track of.The thing I love most however is trying to create a positive and healthy environment for our staff, which has been a new challenge for me with how large our department is, but is very rewarding.

Since I got my first Wacom tablet I have been illustrating and creating. I have worked with many individual commissioners over the years, which gave me a lot of practice working with clients. I illustrated a children's novel with my mother, Jodi Perkins, titled "Jacob Jax and the Watermelon Tree." Once I started at Alpine they noticed my constant doodling around the camp and asked me to illustrate some pieces for their donator news letter. After that I created "The Branch," a graphic novella about my experience working at a children's camp. When I started at Skypark I had a similar moment where my manager at the time noticed my work and asked my to design some photo ops for around the park. Currently, I have done one mural and a couple of signs for the park.

At Alpine I worked as a high ropes, low ropes, zipline, and team building facilitator. We had camp group, business retreats, school groups, and everything in between. Working at Alpine taught me critical skills in creating a great experience for frightened or stressed out guests.
