In this role, I collaborate closely with the Harward Center at Bates College. I oversee the Book Buddies Program with elementary students in the community. My responsibilities include leading and organizing training sessions, coordinating volunteers, managing partnerships with local schools, and fostering a love of reading among elementary school students through educational interactions.

In my role as a Community Outreach Fellow, I collaborate closely with The Harward Center at Bates College. I oversee a mentorship program aimed at supporting local middle school students. Our team meets weekly with these students, providing valuable resources and guidance within the community. My responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, conducting training sessions, and leading the weekly volunteer group.

As Co-President of the Bates College Democrats club, I organize our weekly meetings and other events to promote political participation and civic engagement. In this role I have organized campaigning events for local Senate races as well as collaborating with local organizations within the broader community.

As the social media manager and class officer of the Bates College Democrats club, I advertise our weekly events to the student body via instagram- encouraging civc engagement. Additionally, I meet with the board to assist and participate in our planned events.

In my role as a Community Advisor, I ensure the safety and well-being of upperclassmen residents and maintain the integrity of the building I oversee. My responsibilities include organizing and executing 12 programs each academic year to foster community among residents. Additionally, I conduct regular walkthroughs of the building to ensure everything is in proper order and address any issues.

As a Junior Advisor I serve as peer advisor for the incoming freshman class at Bates College. I work with first year students to aid in their transition into college and residence hall life. I assist in responding to complaints and reports, as well as organize several events throughout the academic year.

I worked to codify a database of decisions made by the United States Court of Claims from 1856-Present to test whether greater autonomy and capacity enables USCC judges to rule more frequently against the federal government. Being a remote position, I met frequently with the project leader and team to provide regular updates and to note trends found in the data.

In May 2023, following the failure of Measure 2-140, the Justice System Improvement Program (JSIP), in Benton County, Oregon, I was part of a team that responded to a Facebook post in the group Corvallis People seeking insights into the reasons for the bond's failure. Our decision to analyze the responses led to the qualitative study outlined in this report. The report details our methodology, acknowledges the limitations of our study, and explains how we developed topics and subtopics from the collected responses. Based on our findings, we have provided recommendations for further study and analysis.Furthermore, the report includes a consolidated dataset and additional analysis generated using artificial intelligence, adding depth and insight to our findings. This experience has deepened my understanding of qualitative research and its application in real-world scenarios, refining my skills in data analysis and interpretation.
