I specialize in developing advanced models and strategic plans to accelerate the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions for transit agencies and school districts. My core expertise lies in:Route Energy Modeling: Creating the Route Energy Model (REM) to accurately predict electric bus energy consumption, aiding in fleet transition planning and infrastructure optimization.Fleet Transition Planning: Developing comprehensive roadmaps for transitioning to electric or fuel cell vehicle fleets, including peak load analysis, charging infrastructure planning, and DER integration.Hydrogen Fuel Cell Economics: Modeling the levelized cost of green hydrogen production to support the evaluation of fuel cell electric vehicles for transit applications.Through my work, I have empowered transit agencies to make data-driven decisions, optimize charging infrastructure, and reduce environmental impact by transitioning to cleaner transportation options.

I have been working at the Schatz Center on designing a testing & operating process of two (4 port) Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)  at the Arcata-McKinleyville Airport as part of the Redwood Coast Airport Microgrid (RCAM) project. In addition, I am working on a techno-economic feasibility assessment of onsite green hydrogen generation to satisfy the Humboldt Transit Authority's present demand. The study's scope also covers the possibility of implementing a demand response program using excess generation.

As a BEE Sector Expert (Transportation), I was in charge of formulating and advising on strategies to promote clean transportation in India. Furthermore, during my time at BEE, I was in responsible for designing and implementing an energy rating program for Li-Ion traction batteries and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), as well as working with various stakeholders such as federal and state government officials, industry experts, and academics to develop a standardized testing procedure for traction batteries.In addition, I served on several advisory committees for the development of public policy, including Guidelines and Standards for EVSE Deployment in India, Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of EV (FAME) II, and several other policies.
