Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF), an independent society set up by GoI to upscale civil society action in partnership with Government, for transforming livelihoods and lives of rural households in the Central Indian Tribal Region. Major functions of BRLF is to provide financial grants to CSOs, strengthen State Gov. & CSO partnership, invest in institutional strengthening of CSOs and CBOs, and capacity building of functionaries of CBOs, PRIs, CSOs and Government Departments.

In Oxfam India, under Economic Justice portfolio, I was looking after projects of Uttarakhand & UP province spread across 13 Districts and being implemented wit 13 NGO partners with annual budget allocation of over INR 250 lakh per annum. The work was focused on Rights & recognition of women farmers’ in agriculture socially and legally and developing their economic leadership by enhancing their knowledge, access to resources and ability to establish market linkages, building resilience of small & marginal farmers through climate resilient sustainable agricultural practices, mainstreaming climate change adaptation in government programs and schemes. The programmatic issues are linked to bigger advocacy & campaigns on rights & recognition of women farmers including land rights, right to food & Climate change. Key responsibilities:• To manage and develop projects under economic justice portfolio in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in line with Oxfam India strategies. • To manage relationship with Oxfam programme partners through regular visits and undertake project appraisal, monitoring, evaluation, including financial monitoring; • To produce quality reports and documentation, develop & design projects, proposals & capacity building of partner organization • Conduct and facilitate issue-based networking with civil society organisations and coordinate with Government, donors and international agencies on programme issues.

DBI & SRI Secretariat set up in Bhubaneswar and housed in Livolink Foundation acts as an extended arm of Tata trust in managing Trust DBI & SRI program. On behalf of Tata Trust the Secretariat takes up regular monitoring visits to the program partners, provides support on techno-managerial aspects, pre-funding assessment, monitoring & evaluation & knowledge management.Key Achievements:• Managed relationship with 34 programme partners through regular visits, project appraisal, pre funding assessments & partner selection, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, including financial monitoring;• Organized training program for partner organization & provided technical support in implementing SRI, sustainable agriculture & various DBI schemes in 6 states. • Managed TRIPTI Project, funded by World Bank to promote SRI, kitchen garden and other sustainable agriculture practices in 5 districts of Odisha with 10,000 households & promoted 260 Producer Groups (PGs) & linked them with mainstream institutions

As Manager for Institution Building in ASA I supported Project Teams (14 in MP & 4 in Bihar) on institution building & strengthening around Livelihood options in form of Farmers Producers Company (FPC) & SHGs, and was responsible for Promotion, strengthening, business development & system setting in farmers Producers Company.Key Achievements:• Managed Ford Foundation, HIVOS, SDTT, SFAC & Solidaridad funded projects on promotion & strengthening of Producers Company• Supported in Promotion of 12 Farmer Producers Companies (FPCs) & over 500 SHGs in MP & Bihar• Anchored project supported by Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) on providing strategic support & trainings to NGOs of Maharashtra on promotion & strengthening of Farmer Producer Organizations(FPOs)• Capacitated 110 ASA staffs, 200 Community Resource Persons (CRPs), 150 Board of Directors of FPCs, 300 SHG leaders on management of FPCs & SHGs

Overall Physical & financial management, strategic planning and leadership of the Bihar programme, techno-managerial support to JEEVIKA- BRLP, a World Bank funded Project for Promotion of SRI, SWI, PVSP with 10,000 families & promotion and strengthening of Farmer Producers Company (FPC), Organization strengthening, monitoring & evaluation of projects, fund mobilization & representing ASA on various forums & contributed in policy level change to adopt SRI and SWI in Gov. Agricultural plan & allocating budget for the same.

Enabling and Strengthening over 50 SHGs to manage and access resources from mainstream institution in a cluster – federation approach, Planning & Implementation of different livelihood programs like Tasar sericulture, watershed development, Plantation, Vermicomposting, SRI and cultivation of Kharif and Rabi vegetables with SHG members and anchored Special SGSY Project for the development of TASAR sericulture in Dumka district covering over 2000 families of 6 blocks.
