I am responsible for creating new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically with the real estate community; making sales calls to prospective customersI evaluate mortgage loans by examining application and gathering supporting documentation; estimating credit-worthiness; calculating repayment risk.

My role was to proactively solicit new residential mortgage business and sell bank mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals. I was responsible for originating retail mortgage loans. Contacts were done either telephonic or in-person. I had to sell directly to customers or solicit customers indirectly through third parties such as builders/developers or realtors. In this ongoing sales role, I continually identified, developed and maintained a quality network of business relationships that served as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities. My network consisted of real estate professionals, builders, professional and personal contacts, as well as other valuable referral sources.

I arrived in Panama City, Florida in March of 1997 as an Air Force Wife with our then 6 year old daughter from Bitburg/Germany. Almost fresh off the plane, I was given this great opportunity to go to work for Tyndall Federal Credit Union. I started as a part time Teller and worked my way through the ranks from being a Teller to Member Service Representative to Consumer Lending and lastly Mortgage Origination. I will always be grateful to the wonderful members who have supported me throughout the years and followed me to different lenders with their financing needs as well as the vast experience in the different departments. My responsibilites included:- handling monetary transaction- opening new accounts and CD's and performing services relevant to account management- opening IRA accounts and performing services relevant to managing IRA accounts- taking and evaluating consumer loan applications and preparing them for underwriting approval- taking and evaluating residential mortgage loan applications. - gathering and evaluating supporting documentation and preparing file for underwriting approval- marketing to potential to potential new sources of business referrals
