Over the course of a 20-year career, I've learned that effective communications doesn't just depend on good strategy or great ideas. Creativity and strategy isn't enough. That's why, in my work, I strive to apply three other skills: applied storytelling, cultural literacy, and stakeholder management. I've learned the power stories have as social constructs, providing meaning, purpose, and a sense of shared mission. I apply them every day to unite people and drive them to action. I've developed my cultural sensitivity through work with clients and colleagues across 24 countries, and I apply that to bridge and lead teams of disparate specialists to create actionable results. And I know the importance of real influence: connecting and engaging with key people, travelling the path of change together to embed change into the fabric of an organization. These competencies have enabled me to lead and deploy many hybrid offers to market, such as the RARA data-driven influence measurement system, and to counsel international clients at a senior/C-suite level.
