Project: Is the freshwater crab Barytelphusa cunicularis suitable for use as a sustainable livelihood resource in India?Responsibilities:a) Conducted field surveys to collect freshwater crab species Barytelphusa cunicularis in the Western Ghats.b) Analyzed the genetic makeup and assessed the species’ response to climate change utilizing Remote Sensing and GIS techniques.c) Evaluated the feasibility of the crab as a food source through socio- economic surveys.

Dynamics of the Himalayan Ecosystem and its Impact under Changing Climate Scenario in Western Himalaya with National Mission on HimalayanStudies (NMHS)Responsibilities:a) Spearheaded surveys in Uttarakhand and Ladakh to map species distribution and evaluate environmental scenarios in the Himalayanregion.b) Employed Species Distribution Modelling (SDM) and Regional Climatic Models (RCM) to model species survival under various climateconditions.c) Contributed bird species data to eBird, enriching a global biodiversity database.

Quantification of flamingo habitat using remote sensing and GIS tools,Thane Creek Flamingo Bird Sanctuary, Mumbai, India" : Employed Landsat8 images, WorldClim data, and MaxENT for change detection and habitat analysis of Thane Creek Bird Sanctuary.

Characteristics of precipitating and non-precipitating clouds in Delhi NCR during the monsoon season (probable role of aerosol) : Analyzed satellite imagery to study the relationship between aerosol particles, precipitation rate, and cloud parameters over Delhi NCR.
