Administering the Main Street Program involves a wide range of promotional, managerial, strategic and problem solving skills including: consulting with local officials, businesses, and community leaders to promote and market the downtown district to further economic development through the facilitation of business expansion, retention, and attraction of new businesses - all within the context of historic preservation; promoting, planning and organizing events involving large groups of stakeholders and volunteers; developing utilizing and maintaining statistics to prove the economic potential of the downtown; identifying prospective businesses.Trish is also a certified nutritionist, health coach and yoga teacher. She received her first certification as a classical yoga teacher in 2006. She continued her studies at the North Carolina School of Yoga and received certifications in prenatal and children’s yoga. In 2016, Trish completed Mindful Yoga for Cancer Patients through Duke Integrative Medicine. She is also an essential oils coach through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
