I have successfully overseen the startup and seamless transition of a community-centered, adult-use cannabis producer, ensuring compliance with state laws for both high-quality cannabis cultivation and dispensary operations. Partnered with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in the startup and this vertically integrated industrial hemp company. Monitors the regulatory environment to ensure compliance with new and changing local, state and federal laws. Writes all grants in collaboration with the agricultural department of the university.

Served as a consultant for at risk assisted living facilities, helping to increase census, decrease staffing turnover, hire and train staff, create and adhere to budgets, create process optimizations, find creative ways to increase revenue, and produce deficiency free state surveys.

Oversaw the operations and licensing reinstatement of this 75 Bed Assisted Living and Memory Care Community to include managing the building, employees and services.

Provided 8-hour seminar to healthcare professionals, caregivers, and students on the anatomy and physiology of dementia, behaviors, non-pharma logical approaches, daily living, spiritual, end of life, and programming. Students earned a certificate of completion with made them eligible for the National Dementia Practitioner Certification.

Managed the operations and approximately 170 employees and 220 residents of this Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care facility. Conducted annual reviews, created performance plans and managed all HR issues such as Workman’s Comp cases, LOA, workplace and other policy management. Maintained vendor contracts.

Oversaw the operations 46-Bed Assisted Living Community and 52-Bed Alzheimer’s Care Community; to include managing the building, employees and services. Created a positive home-like environment for residents and families. Provided oversight to all HR issues such as Workman’s Comp cases, LOA, workplace and other policy management. Lead Investigator for all community and resident related issues.
