As the Executive Director at The Relatives, Trish is committed to providing the right services to youth in crisis to prevent homelessness and poverty. She believes that every child deserves love, acceptance, and mentoring, and that the right support can lead them out of crisis and towards independence.In her role, Trish provides strategic leadership and oversees all aspects of The Relatives’ operations, including staffing, resource development, fiscal management, volunteers, licensing, and public relations. She also ensures the development and growth of effective agency programs while maximizing the agency's resources for the benefit of the youth and young adults served.Prior to her current role, Trish served as Associate Executive Director for Community Development at the Emergency Winter Shelter and Men’s Shelter of Charlotte (now Roof Above). In this position, she developed an integrated program serving clients of both shelter locations and was responsible for fund development, volunteer coordination, in-kind donations, and all marketing and communications.Trish is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management program and has served on the Mecklenburg County Continuum of Care board of directors since 2021, where she is currently the Vice-Chair. She is also a member of the What’s Next Ministry board of directors.Trish came to Charlotte in 1984 to attend Queens College and has since made the city her home. She and her husband, Ross, have two adult children and two dogs. Trish’s dedication and passion for serving those in need have made her an invaluable leader in the non-profit community.
