Most people’s passions live beyond their workplace, which seems a little crazy since we spend 70 percent of our waking hours working. We may as well spend that time doing something fulfilling that makes us excited to get out of bed on a workday.At university, I interned with many companies and picked up new and different skills. At graduation, I had become a problem solver at heart, but what really excited me, and where I really came up with my best ideas, was when it came to people, and their roles in organisations. And in their lives.So many people stay in jobs that bore them because they studied that discipline at university. It’s like a loveless marriage while they dream of other things.That is not how it should be. Everyone should get the chance to discover what makes them tick and where their talent lies. That can happen only if they get to sample different roles and fields.It’s all about letting people find what drives them. Helping people to discover exactly that is what drives me and matters to me most.
