In this role, I helped position World Vision Canada as a thought leader on international issues such as the war in Syria, the refugee crisis along the South Sudan/Uganda border and the hunger crisis in Africa. I also served as the communications lead for a public-private partnership aimed at reducing preterm births in developing countries.

As Public Relations Coordinator, I provided communications support to independent dealer-owners across the country and drafted a variety of written products including: news releases, articles, speeches, brochures and employee newsletters. By actively pitching stories and developing strong working relationships with journalists, I was also successful in increasing television news coverage of Home Hardware’s unique charitable events and award-winning operations.

Worked under extremely tight deadlines in a very fast-paced work environment to produce compelling and engaging content on a daily basis. During my time as radio/TV host for Bell Media, I assisted with the creation of the award-winning “No More Bullies” Education Program, which was delivered in schools across the region. The team was recognized with a City Builder Award from the Mayor of Ottawa for those efforts.
