Co-lead of the Community Engagement, Outreach, & Technical Assistance Core at HDI. She finds opportunities to engage community members to collaborate with HDI on various programs and activities. Oversaw the day-to-day business and administrative operation of the Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS) as well as work in concerted effort with the CEO and COO on marketing and communications initiatives, integration of community partners and program implementation.

Oversaw the grants management department and administered a grant portfolio of over $3 million for approximately 60 grantees. Managed all pre- and post- award grants activities. Developed grant and payment protocols as well as created template reports for grantees to report their progress to date. Tracked grantees’ expenditures and disbursed payments. Created and implemented a communication and publicity plan. Authored the monthly Hearing Health E-News newsletter. Managed and updated HHF’s website and social media pages and compiled data and analyzed metrics on HHF’s campaigns.

Senior Administrative Analyst (1999-2002)- Similar duties performed.Administered and prepared contract agreements for over 50 community organizations with funding from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA). Oversaw the distribution of payments totaling more than $5 million. Authored progress reports on grantees’ activities to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Monitored programs to ensure compliance with federal regulations, summarized findings, and made recommendations for corrective action. Maintained ongoing relationships with key stakeholders, including elected officials, community constituents, and internal departments. Provided ongoing technical assistance and delivered orientations to grantees.

Oversaw and revamped the contract and request for proposal (RFP) process. Assisted in the writing of the Ryan White Part A/Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) proposal. Negotiated contracts, audited grantees’ program files to ensure compliance with regulations, trained and provided technical assistance to grantees on reporting systems, and authored technical reports for submission to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Managed 30 Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) contracts throughout the Greater Hartford region. Organized employment fairs and job skills training workshops. Provided ongoing technical assistance to grantees on their contracts. Managed the State of Connecticut Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) database of authorized CWP’s grantees.
