Established in 1999, Metropolitan Alliance of Connected Communities (MACC) is a collaborative network of nearly 60 community-based human service organizations in the Twin Cities metro area. For 20 years, MACC has created capacity for innovation in human services by bringing together new partners, creating space for new ideas, and working together to create solutions to help members adapt effectively and maximize our collective impact as we work to help communities reach their full potential. To support the resilience, scalability, and durable impact of our members’ work as community-based human service organizations, MACC centralizes critical administrative and operational functions, including capacity building for financial strategy, use of technology, business development with partners, and serving as a launching point for projects and initiatives which can harness the collective power of our network.

Strategic partnership development, training and event planning, board development, marketing and communications planning, volunteer management and training, fundraising, local chapter resources and support, community development.I helped the organization develop its first strategic plan, strengthen its governance, evolve the role of the board, and strengthen its brand and connection to local communities around the state. I curated strategic relationships with local businesses and consultants to provide in-kind guidance and support to further the organization’s goals. I led a fiscal realignment initiative to transfer the organization’s underutilized physical assets into financial investments in an endowment to provide local community aid. I played a leadership role in bridging urban/ex-urban/rural divides for this statewide organization. I managed and successfully re-prioritized commitments to an intense event schedule which placed high demands on staff and volunteersMinnesota Junior Chamber (MN Jaycees or MN JCI) is a leadership development organization for young people 18-40. The mission of the Minnesota Jaycees is to provide the opportunity for young individuals to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.

Founded a local chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, managing marketing, web-based organizing, building community partnerships, planning networking events, member and board recruitment, engaged in strategic planning.

Coordination of the Partners Internship Program, a Bremer Foundation regional internship program for undergraduates in nonprofits. Planning and coordination of a conference for college women interested in a career in public policy. Recruiting community leaders to speak and serve as mentors for the young women attending the conference, public speaking, facilitation and moderation of seminars, assist in event logistics, mentor participants, recruit new League members, promote the conference to community partners and colleges, strategic program planning.

Assisted in event and workshop planning, coordination and implementation of organization’s paid programming including memberships and publications, development of emerging leaders programming, customer service and member outreach, assistance to executive director, writing and editing of Events Etc. and Grants Alert email communications, coordination of marketing and outreach to college students interested in working in nonprofits.
