I am a lawyer who practices legal ethics, professional responsibility law, and commercial litigation. I have worked at Holland & Knight for over eighteen years, and practice in the firm's Chicago and New York offices. I am the Chair of the firm's national Legal Profession Team, and am one of the firm's Professional Responsibility Partners. In my legal ethics practice, I represent lawyers, law firms, legal tech companies, and in-house lawyers and legal departments on all types of professional responsibility issues, including issues related to conflicts, privilege, regulation, law firm management and employment issues, partnership disputes, and all related issues. I also represent lawyers in disciplinary proceedings in front of state bar agencies and the USPTO's Office of Enrollment and Discipline, and law students in the character and fitness process. I also serve as an expert witness on legal ethics and professional responsibility issues, and currently teach as a legal ethics adjunct professor at New York University School of Law. In my commercial litigation practice, I represent all types of clients in litigation and other disputes, in front of state and federal courts and administrative agencies. I have broad experience representing national and international companies, small businesses, government agencies, and individuals. I am an experienced trial lawyer and a member of the Northern District of Illinois' Trial Bar, and have experience serving as an arbitrator.
