In my current position, I teach and inspire my part of the future of America that has been unable to learn in the traditional education setting. All have varying exceptionalities such as specific learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and various mental disabilities that interfere with a students learning. I manage and create a positive learning environment with out-of-the-box thinking. Meeting each child where they are and teaching them in the way they learn has shown great gains in the classroom. Whether I'm teaching math, reading or computer coding, I take great pride in seeing my students feel successful.A major part of teaching in special education is keeping accurate and organized data that is state and district compliant. I have created innovative forms and databases to keep data close at hand and easy to use. Continuing education is an integral part of being successful in any profession, but I feel keeping my finger on the pulse of new trends keeps me working at my highest capabilities. In previous positions, I used my expertise in Lean Flow analysis and process mapping to redesign business processes from start to finish. I formed talented project teams to produce superior products, effectively motivating professionals from purchasing, sales, marketing, manufacturing, engineering, and planning. As Manager of special projects at Trinity Industries, I was often called on to lead and facilitate meetings for various projects within the different Small Business Units.I skillfully led 13 Engineering projects by expertly managing resources, scheduling, and budgets to Project Management Institute guidelines. I was an Integral part of establishing two Project Management offices, improving management procedures through education and mentoring. I was able to enhance the company reputation for quality and service by developing and maintaining successful working relationships with clientele.
